Meggalife is a social platform that allows users to set up a retirement fund and collect points that could be turned into money over time.

About the Project
Meggalife
Meggalife is a social platform that allows users to set up a retirement fund and collect points that could be turned into money over time.
Meggalife offers several different applications such as a search engine, email, social networking, photo sharing, music streaming, and videos all available for free for both Desktop, iOS, and Android. Points were earned with daily online activities such as searches, likes, posting, chatting, streaming, sharing and time spent on the app.
Financial education was one of the key factors to introduce the younger generation to begin saving for retirement. By making saving and earning more like a game and integrating into daily activities our target audience already does, we hoped to take steps to reverse a potential financial crisis..

1
Meggalife
Meggalife is a search engine that gives back. You can sign up and start collecting points that can be used to invest in your future retirement.
2
Earning Points
After setting up a meggalife account you can now earn points by simply browsing the internet with the meggalife search engine. Other apps such as Meggamigo where you can connect with your friends, can also help earn you points through posting, liking other posts, and engaging.

3
Easy Life
Download the Easy Life app to track your points and transfer them to investments. Meggalife works with Beanstalk to convert your points into investment plans.

Prototype
Our ultimate goal was to ensure that those who use the product (the meggalife search engine) would claim their points by creating a beanstalk account (solo 401k account). For simply visiting the site, the visitors could see 100 points already added and each search would give them more points. With the initial design we realized visitors were trying to set up accounts to claim their points but only getting so far into the sign up process and then abandoning.
We setup several focus groups to determine what the issue might be. One of the biggest problems was explaining what our product even was. An aspect that kept users engaged and interested was the retirement calculator. I decided to emphasize this feature while also rewording the copy to simplify. Encouraging engagement and action helped increase signups in the final quarter.
